3 Quick Men’s Skin Tips to Exude an Impressive and Confident Aura
By EVERDEEP’s founder.
Depending on the time, place and occasion (or mood), sometimes I dress up in a dapper men's suit and sometimes I prefer to go out super casual. But regardless of my fashion style, I generally look and feel my best when I am calm and confident.
Aura—that “energy” you and your skin gets when it’s healthy—correlates to how you feel mentally. Without trying to get all new-age on people there are studies that suggest a link between confidence, and energy to your well-being and overall health.
A lot of grooming companies tend to focus on the external only, that is, putting things on and over yourself that from the outside. There is inference of covering up or putting an extra layer on top of yourself. They talk about all kinds of fancy sounding ingredients like Nano-beads or X-factor particles.
But at EVERDEEP we think that confident looking men don’t look cool just because they apply something on top of their exterior. Of course, we're deeper than that.
Enjoy impressive skin with ingredients that are good for you.
Fortunately, you don’t need to fork out a ton of cash and absorb unhealthy toxins to achieve impressive looking skin—you can make a lot of progress just by some positive changes to mindset.
Of course, it helps when we’re well-rested, or endured a good workout or we’re on a vacation. But life is busy, and sometimes we don’t get enough sleep or we are working hard on a deadline and can’t afford to stop.
So, in those moments when life is busy or stressful, how do you make yourself look and feel energetic without resorting to covering up with chemical laden cosmetics products?
Here are some tips I’ve found to help create impressive skin even if you're too bust to take a break.
It's obvious but pretty important. To be honest, I forget to drink water regularly most days. Especially if I’m really into work, I can go without a drink of water for ages without even noticing.
So, I always have to remind myself to drink water. Lately, I have a few tricks to help remember. I carry a bottle of water with me everywhere and keep it close to my desk when I work. If I'm feeling thirsty I gulp down more in one big go instead of little prolonged sips.
Water makes up a large percentage of our body mass and is essential for life. all of our cells require it to function properly, even more so for our skin cells.
I have noticed that my skin can look a bit dry and dull if I don’t drink enough water, or if I drink too much coffee instead of water since coffee is a diuretic that dehydrates you. So the fastest way to give your skin a bit of radiant "aura" is to take a big drink of water.
Exercising by working up a sweat is actually good for your skin.
It doesn't need to even be that much. 20-30 minutes of cardio exercise activity can make a difference.
Studies have shown that exercise can have a positive impact on improve mental function, metabolism, alertness, attitude, stress and therefore confidence & energy. It's not an illusion, it really can make you look and feel better. It sure beats a low-energy, tired look!
The best thing is that it doesn't matter what you do - going for a brisk walk, jogging, working out at the gym or anything else can help.
3. Don't use harsh soaps
If drinking water keeps you hydrated inside, avoiding drying or harsh soaps can help with the outside.
Sure, soaps are good or cleaning, but unfortunately they can dry your skin tremendously. They also excessively wash away your skin’s natural oils, taking away some of your natural "glow".
As an alternative to soap, a non-abrasive and more gentle cleanser such as Deep Cleanse — which is designed to gently clean away impurities, while also containing ingredients that moisturize your skin at the same time to help give you clean, clear and nourished skin.
Combine this with Deep Replenishment and you have a powerful formula for clear and impressive skin. Deep Replenishment gives your skin with moisture from over 15 natural extracts, that create naturally healthy looking skin.
It creates a positive feedback loop—when I feel confident, I look better!
